Associate Aircraft Broker — Commission-Based

Remote | NextBird, LLC | Miami, Florida

NextBird is seeking a driven, aviation-obsessed professional to join our growing team as an Associate Aircraft Broker.

This is a commission-based independent contractor opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in aircraft brokerage, develop a book of business, and have their earning potential directly tied to their performance.

The ideal candidate has previous exposure to business aviation or experience as a pilot and already possesses a strong working knowledge of private jets. Familiarity with Cessna Citation aircraft, avionics, engines, maintenance programs, inspections, specifications, and performance is especially valuable.

What You’ll Do

As an Associate Aircraft Broker, you’ll help develop and maintain relationships with aircraft owners, buyers, sellers, brokers, dealers, service providers, and other professionals throughout the business aviation industry.

Your work will include:

  • Prospecting for aircraft listings, acquisition clients, and buyers
  • Conducting consistent outbound business development
  • Building and maintaining relationships throughout the aviation industry
  • Researching aircraft markets, pricing, and comparable transactions
  • Assisting with aircraft valuations and market reports
  • Supporting aircraft listings and acquisitions from initial engagement through closing
  • Assisting with negotiations, due diligence, inspections, escrow, and transaction coordination
  • Maintaining accurate client, prospect, and transaction information within company systems
  • Networking and developing NextBird’s presence throughout the business aviation community
  • Staying current on aircraft markets, aviation trends, technologies, and industry developments

Aircraft brokerage is fundamentally a relationship business. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, starting conversations, attending industry events, developing relationships, and following up consistently.

What We’re Looking For

Previous business aviation experience is strongly preferred. Experience as a pilot, aircraft sales professional, or in another business aviation role is a significant advantage.

Candidates should have:

  • A genuine passion for aviation and business aircraft
  • Familiarity with major aircraft manufacturers and models
  • Strong knowledge of, or interest in, the Cessna Citation family
  • General understanding of aircraft avionics, maintenance, engines, performance, and operating costs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and networking abilities
  • Professional judgment and attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and remain accountable
  • A willingness to prospect consistently and handle rejection
  • A desire to learn, improve, and be coached

Technology

Candidates should be comfortable working with modern technology and productivity platforms, including:

  • Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
  • Zoho CRM
  • Notion
  • Canva
  • AI platforms including ChatGPT and Claude

Previous experience with specialized aviation platforms such as JETNET, AMSTAT, VREF, AviaCost, and our other brokerage systems is not required. Training can be provided.

Compensation

This is a commission-only independent contractor opportunity with no salary or guaranteed compensation.

Associate Aircraft Brokers begin with a competitive commission split, with the opportunity to progressively increase their commission split based on production and performance.

monthly desk fee provides access to NextBird’s brokerage infrastructure, systems, technology, communications resources, and support.

This opportunity is best suited for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to build their own book of business within the NextBird platform.
